FAQs

Some of your burning questions answered.

Why should I respray and not replace?

  1. It can cost up to 75% less to respray your kitchens, doors or uPVC windows rather than replacing them.
  2. It gives your home a fresh look, whether for yourselves, or for when you’re looking to sell your home.
  3. It’s quicker and causes less disruption to your home life than replacing.
  4. Have it your way – You choose the colour. We can even match the colour to another item to give your home that complete look.

So why don’t I just paint them myself?

The finish we can achieve with our professional spray system will be much smoother and more even than can be achieved by hand-painting yourself. It’s also much quicker, both in terms of coverage speed and the time required between coats. The specialist paints used are extremely durable and don’t forget, we can colour match it for you.

What surfaces can be painted?

Pretty much all manufactured finishes can be covered. Previously painted surfaces, varnished woods and melamine are the most common and can be painted no problem. If we aren’t sure if a surface can be sprayed we will perform a test on a small patch that won’t be seen.

What’s so special about your paint?

We use highly durable paints which have been specially formulated for furniture respraying.

What is the process?

We will remove kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts and take them to our workshop to respray them there. Once done we will return and re-fit them for you. Any fixtures that can’t be removed will be treated in-home – degreased, sanded and masked before being sprayed on-site. We try our hardest to minimise disruption to you so we aim to be in and out as soon as possible, usually around two days.

If you’re also looking to change your door/drawer handles, we can do this for you too.

Any stand-alone furniture you’d like to be sprayed will be collected and treated in out workshop and returned when completed.

How long will my kitchen be out of comission?

Anything we treat on-site will be dry enough to use within a day of painting. Any furniture we remove to treat at our workshop will be returned and re-fit in around 7-10 days. However it can take our specialist paints may take a few weeks to fully cure to its hardest finish at which point it becomes extremely durable and easy to maintain.

What if my new kitchen gets scratched?

Our paints, when fully cured, are resistant to all but the harshest of contacts, but in the unlikely event that you do need to touch up the paintwork, we will leave a small pot of paint for you which you can use to retouch the paintwork with a standard paintbrush.
